Boys Baseball - Fall Season

The Belvidere North Fall Baseball team completed an 14-0 season on Sunday, October 21 st at the River Hawks stadium in Rockford. The team was the top seed with a 12-0 record.

The season began on September 2nd and the team played a double header every Sunday. The games alternated between East High School, Rockford College and River Hawks Stadium. The league was organized by Rockford College Baseball. The games were played against other high school teams in the area.

In the playoffs, Belvidere North had a 1st round bye. They won the next game in 9 innings with a score of 8 – 3. This game was followed by the championship game against a Peru team whose record was 12-1. Belvidere North won this game under the lights at River Hawks Stadium with the winning score of 2 – 1. Matt Larson, winning pitcher, pitched the entire game.

Many family members and friends were there for the final day to cheer on the team. Belvidere North’s Baseball Program will be very competitive in it’s first season next spring.
